Big Storms and Even Big News for Democrats Rolling In

More news is coming in that points to real opportunities in the mid-terms to flip the House and the Senate.

There is a big weather system rolling into NE Pennsylvania this evening, and I’m going to be on storm-watch. While I’m monitoring the weather and enjoying a night off, here is some good news!

With North Carolina Senator Thom Tillis announcing his retirement, both the Cook Political Report and Larry Sabato’s Crystal Ball have the N.C. Senate race in 2026 as a toss up.

Sabato posted tonight that Don Bacon, who is retiring from his seat in Nebraska, has left a real opportunity for a Democratic Party win in that red state. He rates the NE-2 House race for 2026 as “leans Democratic.” Yay!

Let’s get a couple of real kitchen table candidates who go at their campaigns with solutions for problems Trump has created—inflated rents, home prices, cost of living shooting up due to tariffs, taking away the health care of citizens who have spent their lives paying into Medicare and Medicaid, and failure to address even a smidgen of the problems in both states that are being caused by the wild-ass weather patterns of global warming. Flooding and tornadoes and no FEMA?

Get young, loud, and proud Democrats to run in North Carolina and Nebraska, and we’ll stand a real chance to flip both the House and Senate!

Then let’s watch a new Senate Majority Leader tell Trump he’s not going to let a single judicial appointment go to a vote. No Republican federal district judges or judges for circuit courts of appeals, and certainly no new hand puppets on the Supreme Court.

What a delicious last two years of Trump’s term that would be!
