What we feel as we face the repression of Trump and his authoritarian regime is not the sum total of who we are. We are better than they are. There are more of us. We have the power of our numbers and our votes.

It’s fair to assume Trump will do everything possible to prevent any further elections in America. Will he succeed? Well, a lot of that has to do with us, and how we proceed in the coming days and months.

Trump is committing so much crime so fast that the impression is that nothing can be done about it.

What better way for Trump to again evade arrest and prison yet again than invoking the Insurrection Act, creating a national emergency—that only he can fix—and then obstructing a few other things like elections.

If Trump tells you he won’t try to cancel the midterm elections, he’ll try it. It’s up to us to be ready to use everything in our power, from the courts to the streets, to stop him.

Trump hasn’t threatened to bomb Minneapolis yet, but it’s only the middle of the month of January, giving him about three years to think it over.

How ICE moved from enforcing immigration law to deciding which people belong in America and which people do not.

The president of our country sees being anti-fascist as illegal. There may not be law against protesting yet, but if you attend the next No Kings rally, if you show up to protest ICE roundups, if you march in the street against Trump’s newly-hatched militarism, they will be watching.

Processing more Venezuelan oil might help make U.S. Gulf Coast refineries a bit. But since there was no shortage of products in the U.S. market, don’t expect consumers to see much savings.

Trump is doing the equivalent of hiring the people he pardoned for crimes committed on January 6 and giving them guns and vests and helmets and masks and turning his mob loose not on the Capitol this time, but on us.

Trump and the hard-right billionaires who made him president appear to be betting that things will work out for them as well as it did for Putin.

If we wondered what a civil war would look like when it happened in this country, we have our answer.

While many state and local officials are calling for calm and peaceful protest, many also believe that Trump and his administration are intentionally trying to provoke the civilian population into violence.

This President and each man and woman currently collaborating with him are something of the gravest violence, something fully inhuman, something worthy of disdain.

With the headlines about Venezuela, threats to Greenland, high prices, ICE and Border Patrol shootings, the Epstein files and the health care subsidies fight, news of Trump's anti-climate actions have been overlooked for months.
