Fake News and Propaganda Ads, Paid for by You, the Taxpayer

Trump's TV ads are US government ads. They are an obscenity and as blatantly illegal as anything he has ever done.

‘Tis true, which doesn’t make it any less fantastical.

Standards, anyone?

For the record—and this matters—here is the ad being paid for by the American taxpayer, which is blatantly illegal under US law:

Personally, I didn’t know Leni Riefenstahl’s interns were still getting work. However, after all, this a golden age for fascist agitprop and Hitlerian fantasy amongst the lost boys and girls who surround Trump like parasites. They froth about in a putrid sewer, where reaching the bottom of the latrine is the ultimate ambition for there sits Donald Trump in all his bloated glory, atop the wrecked White House with a new helipad and dreams of a great triumphal arch on the horizon.

America has truly become great again.

Cue the Lee Greenwood!

Where’s Kid Rock? Anybody seen my old friend Nicki Minaj? What about Hannity?

At any rate, here is the latest between the White House and their corporate media paramours.

Trump expelled CNN, home of Scott Jennings, and thus the only name in news able to describe in detail what Mitch McConnell was really thinking about during those trying early days when he first went missing.

The rest of the media boycotted Trump, which made him angry.

Trump started his own propaganda network, which imploded while placing ads on CNN and MS NOW that are railed against by the employees of the companies taking the money. I must point out that many of them were so recently nuzzled up against the Trumpian breast at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner redux, where they celebrated the First Amendment with Howard Lutnick, Stephen Miller, Natalie Harp, Jennifer Hegseth and her husband, plus many lobbyists.

The ads are US government ads. They are an obscenity and as blatantly illegal as anything Trump has ever done. They have been identified as such by all of the hosts who cover all of the news.

See the problem?

It is an enormous one.

It’s about trust—or lack thereof.

Democrats are on the edge of a great victory, which is a gateway to a second look and second chance with the exhausted and betrayed American people.

The 2028 Democratic presidential race will start fast.

Will the corporate media set the stage where the race plays out?

On the morning that Senator Eric Schmitt of Missouri discovered the University of Iowa, Jim VandeHei of Axios wrote a column elevating Schmitt into the pole position as JD Vance’s running mate in 2028. A few hours later, it was clear that while Tummy Tubberville remains the dumbest MAGA senator, he will never be able to stop looking over his shoulder when it comes to maintaining his title.

VandeHei saw a vice president.

I dissent. He seems much more like a secretary of state or defense to me.

Not.

Nothing is on the level.

So much of what you are spoon-fed is kabuki theater, starting with the appalling Sunday shows, where MAGA liars go to steamroll, gaslight and filibuster in a sick game of lying for dollars, where the fuel from the spinning game wheel comes from the burning Constitution.

We live in a cynical and dishonest time.

That’s why I’m so relieved to read that Gavin Newsom has set upon Bill Clinton as his North Star for his imminent 2028 campaign, which he says won’t start if Kamala runs, while others say that isn’t true, but is the right thing to say.

What about letting “Morning Joe” decide?

At any rate, I fear I digress too much.

It’s pretty simple really.

Ron Filipkowski wrote a perfect staggering paragraph.

Didn’t he?

Read it again. Slowly. Intentionally.

We are paying CNN and MS NOW to run ads for Donald Trump right before the midterms. You and I are paying for them. And CNN and MS NOW are taking the cash while their hosts and guests say the scheme is illegal. That is the current state of corporate media in America.

Some people keep saying trust in corporate media has never been lower.

I can’t imagine why. Can you?

Welcome to October.
