Are We Finally Seeing the “End of Days” for Trump?

As legal experts have indicated, Trump is scared. He's been caught and knows it. He was provided with an inventory of what the FBI took in their search at Mar-a-Lago—and apparently it was a lot.

Those of us who view the former President in the harsh light of the reality of his criminality and self-dealing are in a state of acute Schadenfreude right now.

While Trump was up in New York at Trump Tower getting ready for a deposition he was desperately trying to avoid, the FBI executed a search warrant at his “home” at Mar a Lago. The timing on the FBI’s part could not have been better.

It seems like the tempo of information drops about Trump’s criminal activity while in office is increasing daily. More and more “insiders” are starting to roll over on him. The number of “shoes dropping” would have the curator of an Imelda Marcos Memorial Shoe Museum breaking out in a cold sweat.

But at the end of the day, this was predictable. In fact, we did predict it back last year in a post entitled “The Leave-Behinds of a Liar — Why We Still Have a Country In Spite of Donald Trump.”

If you want to know what crimes Trump has committed or is committing now—just because he’s no longer in office does not mean he stopped being a criminal—simply make notes of what he accuses others of doing. Then look and sure enough you’ll find him doing that and more.

And sure enough, he is true to form. This principle can also be clearly seen in his most rabid supporters—with people like Marjorie Taylor Greene, Lauren Bobert, Matt Gaetz, Lindsay Graham and others spouting accusations at every breath. At the same time all these people had a supportive hand in one way or another in Trump’s attempted coup.

Trump has said that only criminals or mob bosses plead the 5th in legal proceedings. He then did exactly that in his deposition with New York AG, Leticia James. He answered the question confirming his name and then invoked his 5th Amendment rights to every other question posed. Even a kindergarten lawyer would have told him that was a bad idea because this is a civil case, not a criminal one, and his actions were a gift to the AG.

Meanwhile he sent out a message on his “Truth” social network that the FBI agents serving the search warrant at Mar-a-Lago had not allowed his attorneys to observe their activities and must have planted evidence.

Turns out that two of his attorneys were there. His mouthpieces at FOX News followed his lead and began shouting about “backpacks” full of planted evidence.

As legal experts have indicated, Trump is scared. He’s been caught and knows it. He was provided with an inventory of what the FBI took in their search at Mar-a-Lago—and apparently it was a lot. And so he’s going to try to foist off the idea that whatever they found wasn’t his or was planted. Desperation is leaking out every pore.

Writer H. Scott Posterman sums it up quite well:

Isn’t it rich that the man who abused presidential power more than any other, and tried to stage a coup d’etat against the U.S. Government, is now crying about “abuse of power?” And the phony news network that aided and abetted his rise to power and abuses, is stirring up Fascist anti-government forces in his defense?

Trump still thinks he can extend his “fifteen minutes” even longer by firing up the truly dull-minded in his base. A bunch of them are camped outside Mar-a-Lago talking up how he has never lied and telling every microphone wielder there how much faith they have in him.

And of course he’s fundraising off of them as well. The usual grift.

It seems that the white supremacists and, frankly, Nazis who were given voice by Trump’s “very fine people” comment in 2017 are desperate not to be shoved back under the rock he invited them to crawl from beneath. They are now screaming to defund the FBI and DOJ, the latter of which was established in 1870 to curb the very activities these folks want to engage in again—wanton violence, racism and discrimination. Trump’s white supremacist fans are easy to spot. They are the one’s shouting “America First”—the slogan of the KKK for about 100 years.

An angry little man riled up the fearful downtrodden masses in Germany back in the day. He has been imitated by an orange-skinned crook in our time, using the same angry messaging and tactics to gain power and followers. Hitler had a lot of allies. So does Trump. It took a war to finally put an end to Hitler. It looks like Trump’s end will be in a court room in tiny handcuffs, and what is left of his allies will be in an ineffective, boxed-in minority come November 8th.
