Is Trump Now All-In for the Defeat of Ukraine?

It is a net gain for Trump that journalists are spending time trying to dissect the idiocy of the diesel deal and not looking into his presence on the Epstein pedophile customer list.

Donald Trump has been making some moves lately that are all bad news for Ukraine.

First off is his diesel deal with Putin. There is no way this deal will do a single thing to reduce diesel fuel prices in the US or the rest of the world. Numerous experts who understand the nuances of international energy markets have chimed in on this. The idea that the US would purchase Russian diesel for import is beyond stupid. The US is the world’s largest exporter of diesel. We have a surplus.

So the only person benefiting from this diesel deal is Putin. Well, actually, I predict that sooner or later we will hear that some sort of commission or kickback found its way to Donald’s pockets. But in the end the diesel purchase, if it actually happens, is kind of a smoke screen to Treasury easing sanctions on Russia. And this just means more money in Putin’s war chest. Good for Vlad, not so much for Ukraine. Trump even went to far as to tell Zelenskyy to stop attacking Russian refineries. Various sources report that up to forty-five percent of Russian refinery capacity has been taken off line by Ukrainian drone attacks—so doubtful we will ever see Russian diesel over here.

Secondly, reports started coming out yesterday that Ukraine suddenly found itself having Starlink problems and these issues were causing aborted or failed missions against Russian targets. Elon was quick to put his hands in the air saying, “I didn’t do it!”

It turns out now that Ukraine is not using the normal civilian version of Starlink, but rather Starshield which is a more secure version and controlled by—you guessed it—the Pentagon, i.e., Hegseth and Trump.

Starshield’s increased security is intended to protect intel data being sent through it. So this sounds a lot like cutting off intelligence sharing, which Trump claimed was not happening. But that was probably a lie since his mouth was moving.

Why would Trump be putting the screws to Ukraine now? Well, remember that back in 2019 and 2020, Zelenskyy would not play ball with Trump’s attempt to use him to smear Biden before the 2020 election. And he got himself impeached for the first time for his attempt. Maybe Zelenskyy just finally rose to the top of Trump’s revenge list. With Donnie, all political moves that doesn’t go his way are a personal affront.

It is a net gain for Trump that journalists are spending time trying to dissect the idiocy of the diesel deal and not looking into his presence on the Epstein pedophile customer list.

Whatever Trump’s motivations we can rest assured that they are personal and not strategic, no matter what he says about them.
