Of the six million files known to exist in the Epstein case, Todd Blanche is illegally, outrageously withholding half of them. And now HE ALONE will decide their fate.

As the whole world knows by now, Todd Blanche, the president’s former personal lawyer, was confirmed by the U.S. Senate to the role of Attorney General. The A.G. is a Cabinet position; the head of the Department of Justice. Todd Blanche is now literally, the chief law enforcement officer in the country.

Fifty Republican Senators voted in favor of Todd Blanche’s appointment, sealing it. Two Republicans—both women—voted against. Every Democrat voted against.

It’s important to remember, it was Todd Blanche who personally interviewed convicted sex trafficker and pedophile, Ghislaine Maxwell at a Florida women’s prison for nine hours.

It was also Todd Blanche, following that interview, who arranged for Ms. Maxwell to be transferred to a minimum security women’s prison in Texas, where she enjoys yoga and has had access to a puppy. She’s also allowed after-hours recreation, bespoke prepared meals, and has been given administrative privileges unique to her by the warden.

None of this is legal per the terms of her conviction, but Mr. Blanche saw to it regardless.

Ms. Maxwell, in my opinion, has been given these special privileges to buy her silence (duh), with promises of bigger and better things to come. It is also in my never-so-humble opinion, very likely that Ms. Maxwell will receive a pardon from the president following the November election. No doubt engineered and signed by Todd Blanche, with the enthusiastic approval of Donald J. Trump.

Their only other option would have been to disappear her, but that can be so messy. Not that I’d put it past Trump.

It’s also very important to remember that every single person who cast their vote to approve or reject Blanche’s appointment, including ALL FIFTY REPUBLICANS WHO VOTED “YEA,” knew all this. They knew of Maxwell’s crimes, they knew of Todd Blanche’s involvement in buying her silence, and they all know as well as we all do, that once it’s convenient for the administration to do so, Blanche will set her free.

It’s no surprise that the only two Republican ’no’ votes were from women; Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins. Both moderates by current Republican standards, and probably more keenly aware of the evil perpetrated by Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. Likely from personal experiences.

There’s a famous saying (wrongly) attributed to Edmund Burke: “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”

The appointment of Todd Blanche goes beyond evil, because the fifty Senators are guilty of doing far more than “nothing.” They knowingly made the man behind the ongoing assault on justice the top cop in the land.

Of the six million files known to exist in the Epstein case, Todd Blanche is illegally, outrageously withholding half of them. And now HE ALONE will decide their fate. Because fifty Republican Senators lied to themselves and to us, and pretended to believe he was worthy of the office, rather than anger the sociopath-in-chief.

Shame on every goddamn one of them.

So to all of you who post memes and such decrying the travesty of the Epstein case, you should accept the reality: It’s going to remain under lock and key, and Maxwell has every reason to stay mum. Because not only has Trump’s fixer 2.0 dotted every i and crossed every t in the matter of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, but now the whole saga has been co-signed by 50 United States Senators. Many of whom, I’m sure, will feign outrage when Maxwell is granted clemency in the near future.
