The explosive revelations yesterday from Rolling Stone journalist Hunter Walker bring a new dimension to the deepening analysis of the January 6th Insurrection.
Testimony from actual planners of the events leading up to the attack on the Capitol now documents the involvement of sitting Members of Congress in the coup attempt.
Let’s pay attention to an important word and its definition: Treason. “The offense of betraying one’s own country by attempting to overthrow the government through waging war against the state or materially aiding its enemies.”
Those members listed in the Rolling Stone article are Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga), Rep. Paul Gosar (R-Ariz.), Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.), Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Ala.), Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-N.C.), Rep. Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.) and Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas).
Marjorie Taylor Greene recently tried to launch an “America First” caucus, in an obviously tone-deaf ignorance (or not) that “America First” was and still is the slogan of the KKK. That effort didn’t take long to implode and disintegrate as it was transparently a white supremacist offering, and much to the chagrin of these members, the vast majority of the people in this country do not buy into this insanity.
The article in Rolling Stone also shows that these House Members have a far deeper hatred for Constitutional process than one can easily grasp. A video of MGT going viral on Twitter right now gives a chilling insight into how deeply committed these folks are toward the imagined rightness of their viewpoints, and in the Big Lie still touted by the former guy.
Here's video of Marjorie Taylor Greene at the White House in late December 2020 saying she had a "great planning session for our January 6th objection. We aren't going to let this election be stolen by Joe Biden and the Democrats.” Expel and arrest Greene.pic.twitter.com/oogwe20Z8K

Two important facts in this are unassailable.
- January 6th was an insurrection and an attempted coup.
- Any office holder, state or Federal, that participated in any way is disqualified from holding office per the 14th Amendment.
Here in full is Section 3 of the 14th Amendment:
No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any state, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any state legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any state, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.
It is time for Congress to expel any and all members, of either house, of the “treason caucus.” And frankly, the list above is probably incomplete. These people could care less about their Oath of Office. So we as a nation should no longer be saddled with their presence in Congress.
